One year Lineage Library! True, that was two months ago but it still makes a good headline. The dynamic duo of Lineage Library is working hard on some fantastic updates but before that we'll move to a new, bigger and faster server. We'll finally have images for all monsters, we'll rebuild the item database allowing us to add new search filters, so you can search for items with special bonuses (e.g. items that give SP, INT, MP regen, etc.), we'll renew the map viewer which will allow you to locate your current position in game and may even show you the shortest way from point A to point B later! The quest section is also in the works, so we'll see some great updates, not only in Lineage. Coronis

Good news for all Lineage Mac-Fans out there! Lineage Library is happy to provide you a rock solid and flawlessly working patch for the known inventory/settings bug in the current Mac-Client of Lineage. Just download it here (and only here!), run the patcher and enjoy a working Mac-Client again:

This hotfix will only work with the current Mac-Client (ver. 100804). It will not affect any previous or future versions of Lineage nor will it conflict with upcoming updates, so you are safe to use it.

Conal:
We didn’t hear anything from our Producer since she started. Is Senmarie still our producer and if not, do we still have a producer? With leave of Frosty, the team grew smaller. Also the progress seemed to have slowed down a bit. Will someone replace GM Frosty or will Jetzen and you take over the responsibilities.?
GM Nyx:
After Frosty left, we wanted to add solid replacements and we took some time to find the right people. We have recently added to our team, and they are settling in currently. We have someone new in QA, and we have hired someone to take Frosty’s position. Senmarie is no longer with us. A producer has been hired to head up both Lineage and Lineage 2 so we have recently increased our team size by 3 new people. As I said, everyone is settling in and learning about us, about you, and about the game. I will introduce the new faces officially soon, but I wanted to reassure everyone that although we were short-staffed briefly we are back up to full strength.

Conal:
Last we heard was Season 3 moving to your internal test server, but that is already quite a while ago. Is there any news about Season 3?
GM Nyx:
Season 3 is not yet ready for PTS. We have discovered that some files were not working correctly because we need to do some upgrades to the servers. We are working with our Network Operations team to get these upgrades scheduled as quickly as possible. We expect them to be completed this summer, but we are not ready to give firm dates. I don’t want to make any promises and then have something unexpected happen. Once the upgrades are complete, we will have more answers about Season 3. In the meantime, Jetzen will continue to make content changes of our own on a regular basis.

Conal:
Server merge was always a big topic for the community. What is the current state of the merge, which many of your subscribers wait for? How many server will there be?
GM Nyx:
Several things right now are happening with the servers. The first is the upgrade that needs to be completed. The second is that we are relocating all of the North American servers this summer to a new location. Aion and Lineage 2 are also undergoing server merges so Korea is very busy across all of our products right now. We can’t guarantee a time frame at this point. We know that a server merge is both needed and desired and we are working to make it happen as quickly as possible.

Conal:
Recently you mentioned a Veteran Reward system. Can you tell us anything about it?
GM Nyx:
Jetzen is working on it currently. He wants it to be a surprise. :)

Conal:
Rumors have it, that Lineage 1 is the largest revenue generator for NC-Soft in Korea. Is this rumor true and if yes, why do we see no progress on our end?
GM Nyx:
In the 4th quarter of last year, Lineage 1 made more profit in Korea than any of our other games. Worldwide, Aion still makes more money. Korea continues to develop Lineage as it is obviously profitable. Our goal is to bring the content they are developing to you faster than it has been done in the past. We are also committed to making changes for the Western market. With our new full-strength team in place we feel confident that we are on the right track to making Lineage better than ever.
