Jerez lies in southern Spain and is the heartland of Sherry production. Its white albariza soils, warm climate, and aging traditions make it unlike almost any other wine region.

For beginners, Jerez is a key region because it teaches how soil, fortification, and aging methods combine to create styles from Fino to Oloroso.
